I love Hotel Contessa, especially Francisco. He's very welcoming and recognizes you. He commented that my granddaughters had grown up so fast, and I didn't even think he would remember that they were my granddaughters, considering how busy it is. The smell when you walk into the hotel is amazing. My granddaughters went downstairs to have dinner while we attended a concert. They loved the food, but, considering my granddaughter insisted on paying for it herself rather than charging to the room, she was amazed at the prices but did say it was well worth it. The housekeeping staff is wonderful and polite as well. Thank you for being a part of the memories.

Hotel Contessa's suite rooms are spacious and we enjoyed being so close to the beautifully lit River walk and close to the nearby Cathedral which had illumination evenings with the history of Texas. The food at the onsite restaurant was good but be sure to make resies. and the hotel is also convenient to a wonderful museum of Western art and sculptures. For a Christmas time trip Contessa did work nicely for our small family utilizing two rooms next to each other. Our son enjoyed the pool and work out area. Dec. 2024

The staff is friendly and accommodating. Also, super honest. I had inadvertently paid twice without realizing it (charge said it didn’t go through the first time), and they notified upon check-in and process the refund promptly. The rooms are suites which has plenty of room to spread out. It will also be my choice when visiting S.A.

The girls at the spa were amazing as well, very knowledgeable and put me at ease. I enjoyed a facial and a massage and both were great. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting San Antonio who wants to stay on the riverwalk!

No real issues parking a hire car. We used the city-run lot on Houston Street about 5 minutes walk away and there were no problems.
